Extra-tropical storm 'Xynthia' brought a period of very strong winds and prolonged rainfall to northern and western parts of France, Portugal and Spain, and also affected the weather across the Weald of Kent during Sunday (28th).

Rainfall accumulations during the event varied between 15 - 25mm across a wide portion of the region, and locally as much as 35mm. The map above shows the rainfall accumulations between 18:00GMT Sat 27 - 18:00GMT Sun 28 February 2010, with the table below displaying the total accumulated rainfall at various stations across the region, from the Kent Station Network.
